Cranberry Sauce

I love cranberry with my poultry or pork, or if you just need it for the holidays enjoy!
 
 

Ingredients:
   
3/4 cup water
1 cup sugar
12 oz bag fresh cranberries
1/2 teaspoon lemon zest, freshly grated
   
     
     
Preparation:
Bring water and sugar to a boil in a small sauce pan until sugar is fully dissolved.
Add cranberries to pan and reduce heat to simmer, stirring occasionally, until berries pop.
Add lemon zest, stir in and cool.
